Required Macros & G-code Hooks

The generated G-code relies on these controller-specific hooks to adapt torch travel coordinates automatically to your loaded tube size:

  • M98 P"CSS_Set_Tube_Radius.g" R[radius]
    Sets physical rotary work radius inside Duet controller, mapping angular A/Y-travel to true linear surface units (mm or inches).
  • M42 P4 S1 / M42 P4 S0
    Momentarily fires/extinguishes plasma cutter arc relay.
  • G4 P[ms]
    Introduces a customizable Pierce Delay dwell to allow the plasma jet to fully punch through the metal wall before linear movement begins.

Workspace Units

Select MM (Metric) or IN (Imperial) active coordinate units globally.

1. Probing Cycle Setup

Homes Z & Y axes first, then moves probe to this Y coordinate before probing. Set to 0 to skip automatic positioning.

2. Probe-to-Torch Offsets

Physical distance from probe tip to torch tip. After probing, the machine shifts coordinates by these offsets so the torch is zeroed at the probed surface. Enter the torch position relative to the probe.

3. CNC Calibration (Steps per Unit)

Configure how many motor microsteps correspond to one linear unit (mm) or rotary degree.
